Getting Licensed

In Florida, Real Estate and Real Estate Appraisal are both licensed professions regulated by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulations (DBPR).This department has an entire Division of Real Estate (or DRE), which is dedicated to the oversight of activities of its licensees under the respective leadership of the Florida Real Estate Commission (FREC), and the Florida Real Estate Appraisal Board.

Please note that APPRAISER qualifications must comply with the Qualifications set at the Federal level by the Appraisal Qualification Board of The Appraisal Foundation. Because of this, historically regulations regarding the Appraisal profession have been more often subject to sudden and often difficult to interpret changes. We suggest for you to consult with the State directly to check on the accuracy of all information Before beginning your licensing application.
